The world trip

The arrival in Kuala Lumpur

be MIND TOURIST !

It is 18.19 in Amsterdam where we left at about 12.00 h. We are still in the plane and we have to fly 5.11 h. more as I wake up. I was dreaming we were in the plane that is flown by light energy. I love it. I push the ‘please steward come’ button and the steward comes. I ask to get something to drink and he comes with water and orange juice on a small plate. I take one of both and drink first the orange juice.

I feel my right calf. My body wants to be able to move. I get up and walk through the plane. It now is 18.40 in Amsterdam and we are above India. To me it is now difficult to make contact to my surroundings. Is that because I am so insecure about what is coming? No, it is because I have my heart closed. If I have my heart open, everything goes forwards. In Kuala Lumpur is it now 12.46 p.m. I assume, that is 0,46 a.m. so, here I am, opening my heart and doing something else at the same time.

We arrive at the right time in Kuala Lumpur. It is hot outside. I do not know what to do and first of all I sit down in the restaurant with the name ….Medan. I feel at home. It just opened so people come one after another. I am busy writing. After some hours I decide it is no use sitting her three days so I have a look how I can come into town.

I came to Kuala Lumpur by bus. I paid with the 10 ringet that I got from Ahmed. I asked him if he could take me with him into town as he put off some people. But no, he had to pick up a family and advised me to take the bus. I told him I am on this trip without any money because the 35 euro I have in my purse I will need in Indonesia to pay the visa. So he offered me to give me money for the bus and I accepted it gratefully.

I had the experience, if you talk about money people here turn their back. Well I also learned that some Dutch think that in a big town like Utrecht it is normal that people that ask you for money are junks. Tom asked me for money and he is an ex-junk. I first refused to give him money, thinking he was a junk and thinking I would need it for my journey. I gave him all the coins I had before I left him.

The bus needed 1 hour to get into Kuala Lumpur sentral station. I did not see my bags in the baggage part and I was sort of happy. I would have nothing to carry around. But as I thought of my compu I was happy to find my bags.

A car passed the bus and I saw the sign was WDE 2911. It reminded me of Heidi, living in East-Berlin. Her birthday was 29.12.1953 and she died of cancer, 29 years young. She could not bear being hold, not being able to travel. I did not want to visit the DDR but she was not allowed to visit me in Holland. Now I am travelling. Not knowing where is what. Trying to get around without using money.

I do not have to pay for food so that is a good thing, because I do not need to eat. It is nice that there is so much food and so much to drink, but to me it is only good if I share the pleasure of eating and drinking with someone like Tom. I bought him a beer that he liked and drank a coca cola myself. I liked it and he too. We had a very good chat and I am curious how he is doing now.

Here in Malaysia I met this very nice man Ahmed Thamer, the driver of the cab. If you come to Kuala Lumpur and need a taxi you can contact him:  tel. 006 / 01426 76120 or shahoby_1980@yahoo.com and great him from me, the woman with the hat and give him the tip I could not give him. He is a special soul.

I am now sitting in the ‘be TOURIST’ (2011),(in 2020 be MIND TOURIST, Malaysia Heritage Tourist office) - Tourist Information & Service Centre in Kuala Lumpur at the Central Market Annexe and enjoying their hospitality. So goooood after all those who were not able to help me.

I met Veera Singam on the way here. He told me, he is living on the street. He has a very hard job.

As he does not get a proper job, he collects empty bottles and tins and brings them to the shop to get a few pence. He also told me, that a lot of people come from other countries to work here. They are paid very little and the jobs for people like Veera Singam are gone.

To me, that is the explanation that the young woman I talked to at the airport, still was there. She said, she was tired, she had been working from 7 til 7. I can imagine, that someone gets tired cleaning 12 hours a day. And than I asked how late it was. It was 2 o’clock. So, she does not go home when she does not work!

As Veera Singam told me about the foreign workers, I understood that the young woman at the airport must be one of them and is working and living at the airport. And now, I get a place for the night, just because I get in at the right place. This very nice woman organises it for me so I can have a shower and a good nights rest.

Her name is Erina Loo. She knows what it is not to be able to have a good nights sleep. She is a tour guide and in Malaysia lots of tourist guides and bus drivers do not get a separate hotel room when they are on tour with a bus full of tourists. The drivers are supposed to sleep in the bus!

Erina has therefore started ‛be TOURIST‛ in 2010 which has been renamed in 'be MIND TOURIST' and organises tours to Malaka where you can make a Dutch Heritage Tour. I have to come back to do this place. be MIND TOURIST takes you on an UNESCO World Heritage Tour in Melaka or a 2 days tour: the Heritage Walk Tour. You can also join the Selangor Nature Heritage Wonder tour or the Selangor Culture Heritage Highlight tour. Most tours have a daily start.

Erina is a very special, lightful person that informs you well and takes good care of her clients. She told me, that I can join every day the free WALK as that starts at 10.30 a.m. daily. I am now very curious about my stay here.

She also showed me that the table outside is theirs and I am allowed to sit there and write. And I can go in internet with their computer. Maybe I can put my site in the net? Would be nice. I am here to work. Not to be TOURIST but she gives me the idea I have to come back here for a holiday.

This morning I had to fill out a form at the airport for the ministry of tourism and write why I came here. I filled out health. I did not realise yet, that I was here to work. But that I am. I am here for the health of all patients in coma so they can get the right treatment they need. And I am gladly surprised, when I hear that.they speak Chinese at be TOURIST! And in China maybe there are patients in coma too? I saw a lot of blind people here in the streets. Are there more blind people here than in Germany / Holland / Europe or are they more on the street?

A man wanted to help me. I went with him. He had warned me for the Chinese part of town as I told him I was going to the golden triangle. And as I told him he would not get any sexual wishes fulfilled by me, he wanted to bring me to the Buddist temple and led me into the Chinese part of town. And as I got aware of that, I turned again and followed my way to the golden triangle again.

I had asked the man if I could work at my computer at his place all night and that was not, what he liked. I am now very happy to sit here, nice temperature and having had a plastic glass of water. I have been sweating, it is warm here although the sun is back the clouds. I thank the lord that I came in this place. I followed my intuition and was sent into a street, where I saw a special construction. I made a picture of it but it is very dark. I tried it twice more, but it was not better.

Than I saw a Dutch picture of Thalens, a product to paint,

in front of the shop I was standing. I went in and first I asked for the way to the golden triangle. O, that is much too dangerous, you can not go there now, it is very quiet there. Tomorrow morning, by taxi. I do not have money for a cab, I decided I need the money I have for the visa of Indonesia. And than I asked if they had water to drink. Yes, buy it. Eh, no, I want water from the tab, free. Than you have to go to the ladies room which is upstairs!, so I went there. The ladies room entrance costs 50, not much if you have money to spend.

If you want to come through without, it is too much to get permission to enter. The people at the Tourist Information & Service Centre - be TOURIST are my angels today. I got this water and Erina showed me that one has to be real violent to be able to drink it. It has a top that makes that the water stays in it and she had to try several times to get the thing to drink through, in it. The water has Jantzen on it. Looks German, so I almost feel ‘at home’.

I live in Germany, but I do not feel at home. It would be nice to find my roots these days so I can feel at home, there where I live. I have been crying again. I made this picture of this building that has 1916 on it, the year my mother was born. And I told this Veera Singam, who was sitting on a staircase near that building. He looked like someone who does not have a shelter in the night so I asked him, if he talks English as I do not yet speak bahassa. He did, so we talked a lit and I told him about me travelling to Medan because my mother was born there and I cried again. I could not help it. It is the way it is. I have no idea, why I am crying, but I am.

And now my eyes fill with tears, while I write this. Is that so I will not see, what is going on? They give me a bed for the night and the girls that work here? Should I not accept this offer? I told Erina I have difficulty to accept gifts, but I accept it very thankfully. It will give me another experience that I would not have without this offer. To join the tours they organise, one must take the passport.

This is another life. In my heart I am a traveller and I am a therapist and a course leader. I want to travel everywhere where I can teach h p i - COURSES.

It is now 2021, one year ago the covid-19 virus/corona virus got its name and life was stopped by it, hoping to stop people to get ill of it. But you still can contact Erina Loo if you are in Kuala Lumpur to get information (erinaloo831 -at- gmail.com). Have a good stay!
